The Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship, commonly known as the MEXT Scholarship, is one of the most prestigious international scholarships offered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan. Established in 1954, this scholarship program aims to promote mutual understanding and intellectual exchange between Japan and other countries by supporting international students to study at Japanese universities.
